    Patrick Walsh is the Founder and Chief Executive of PW Partners, a value-oriented investment firm. He has an extensive track record in the investment management and consumer industries. He is a skilled CEO focusing on Corporate Strategy, Capital Allocation, Corporate Finance, M&A, Hedge Funds, Investment Banking, and Equities. His business accomplishments have been highlighted in Barron's, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes Magazine, The New York Times, Restaurant News, and the Los Angeles Times.

     

    Born in San Diego, CA, Patrick Walsh was raised in Boston, MA, after his family relocated to New England when he was two years old. His father was a naval officer, and his mother was a schoolteacher. He studied Economics at Wesleyan University and played Football and Baseball. Following a back injury that ended his sports career, he transferred to Boston College and graduated with honors in Accounting.

     

    Patrick pursued the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation after graduation, passing all three exam levels on his first attempt. He furthered his investment knowledge by studying under Professor Greenwald at Columbia University's Executive Value Investing Program.

     

    Patrick's career began in 1998 at Prudential Capital Group and Prudential Securities, where he served as an investment analyst focusing on Commercial Real Estate and publicly traded REITs. He then became a vice president of the real estate, gaming, lodging, and leisure investment banking group at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. Before founding PW Partners, he was a partner at a value-oriented hedge fund based in Chicago.

     

    Patrick's entrepreneurial spirit has led him to various industries outside Wall Street. He has held board positions at BJ's Restaurants, Del Taco, Famous Dave's of America, and Town Sports International. Under his involvement, these companies improved significantly, showcasing his investment expertise and business acumen. In 2015, Restaurant News named him one of the 50 most powerful people in the restaurant industry.

     

    In 2018, Ernst and Young recognized Patrick Walsh as Entrepreneur of The Year in New York. One of his significant achievements was the turnaround of Town Sports, which was on the brink of bankruptcy when he took over in 2016. Despite many predicting failure, he committed to saving the company. By 2018, after strategic and operational improvements, the company's stock price rose from a low of 92 cents in 2016 to over $14 per share. EY has honored entrepreneurs like Howard Schultz, Pierre Omidyar, and Jeff Bezos, who have driven their companies' success and positively impacted their communities.

     

    Outside of his professional life, Patrick is an avid reader with many literary interests. He also enjoys fitness activities, cooking, and traveling.
